Why these numbers and not cheaper ones
There is a whole market under this. Automated mastering runs a few dollars a song and a marketplace will find you a fifty dollar mix. Those exist for a reason and sometimes they are the right call for a demo nobody is going to hear twice.
What they cannot do is take responsibility. Nobody at an automated service listens to your record next to the one you want to compete with and decides the hats are too bright. That decision is the thing you are paying for here.
Why these numbers and not more expensive ones
There is also a market above this, where a mix costs two thousand dollars and comes with a name attached. If a label is funding the record and the budget exists, take it. That is a real tier and it earns its price.
For an independent artist paying out of pocket for a single, that spend usually does not change the outcome by as much as it changes your bank account. These rates sit where the sound stops improving fast and the price starts climbing fast.
Discounts, deposits, and how payment works
Half up front, half on approval, before the final files are delivered. EPs of three songs or more get sequenced and level matched at no extra charge. Rush turnaround inside forty eight hours is available and costs more, because it means moving somebody else.
Revisions are included in the numbers above. Nobody gets charged for asking to hear the vocal a decibel louder. If the song itself changes, a new arrangement or a re recorded verse, that is a new mix and it gets priced as one.
Questions about pricing
Do prices change by genre?
No. A dense reggaeton arrangement takes longer than an acoustic ballad, but the rate stays the same unless the track count is extreme.
What counts as extreme track count?
Past roughly sixty tracks the session becomes a different job. You will get a number before any work starts, never after.
Is there a deposit?
Half up front. It holds the slot and it is credited to the total, not added on top.
What if I do not like the mix?
Three revision rounds are included. If it is still not right after that, you keep the files and pay the deposit only, and nobody argues about it.
